Become a Member of the CSDF Board 

The Foundation

The Foundation strives to maintain a board rich with diverse experiences and leadership skills to move forward the ideas and programs of educators and students in our district. The Cheltenham School District Foundation (CSDF) is looking for talented volunteer board members to lead and strengthen our grant and scholarship programs. CSDF strives to maintain a board rich in diversity (culture, gender, location, profession) and leadership skills to move forward the ideas and programs for educators in our district. The CSDF board continues to seek individuals and business dedicated to the academic programs and mission of the Foundation.

Needs of the Board

Board Skill Set Needs

The CSDF board members are a group from all walks of our district including parents, teachers, administrators, retirees, and business professionals of varied industries. We would like to encourage active community members who are dedicated to the Cheltenham School District to apply, yet we are looking specifically for those who can contribute the skills of: non-profit law, fundraising, project management, public and media relations, communications, finance, accounting, grant writing, EITC knowledge, corporate philanthropy, donor engagement, and/or event planning.
A successful board member should be able to offer a minimum 2-year commitment to serve on the committees and work on fundraising for the Foundation's programs, a monthly meeting (2-3 hours), an annual one- or two-day retreat (5-6 hours) for strategic planning, and play an active role in CSDF events.
